Entries are now open for the New Zealand leg of The World Corporate Golf Challenge – one of the biggest corporate golf tournaments in the world with over 50 eligible countries. National Winners from each of these countries are treated to a ‘once in a lifetime’ week of golf at some of the best golf destinations in the world.
The emphasis is on GOLF and BUSINESS and the networks and connections that are established and developed accordingly.
The Auckland regional qualifying events offer the opportunity for corporate golf enthusiasts to compete in a team driven golf tournament – a fantastic opportunity for business owners and executives to reward, network and bond with existing or potential clients or their work peers.
The New Zealand qualifing event will be held at the Akarana Golf Club on Thursday 23rd May 2019. This 2019 NZ Event is held in 2 sections.
A) For the competitive golfer (Max handicap 24) Play 2 ball Combined Stableford with the winners representing NZWCGC at Cascais – Portugal in
the first week of July.
B) A 9 Hole 3/4 Person Ambrose Team event (great prizes) to be hosted at the Akarana Golf Club on Thursday 2nd May. An opportunity for all NZWCGC partners, NZWCGC Managemnet team and their NZ Media Partner NZME to socialise, play 9 hole ambrose and enjoy.

Mike Gibson – WCGC New Zealand Licensee
Formerly as player and administrator. In 1992 /94 he was the Tournament Director of the inaugural NBR / AGC / SKY Corporate Golf Series ( the forerunner to today’s event ). As a low handicap golfer Mike regularly competes in inter-club championships formerly as a player and now administrator. In 2010 he represented NZ in South Africa as a four man member of The World Corporate Golf Challenge team at Fancourt Lodge, George and in 2013 purchased the NZ License for this global event which now hosts over 30 countries in its annual world final known as The World Corporate Golf Challenge. He is a successful thoroughbred racehorse owner in NZ having had a syndicate share in Showcause (NZ Galloping Cup winner in 2010) and now has spread his interest into the breeding side of the industry.
